In 2009-2010, the Guardian Angels School Annual Fund celebrates its fourth year of helping our students learn and grow in the Catholic faith. In the past three years, almost 450 families and friends have participated with $240,000 in gifts–nearly a quarter of a million dollars helping Guardian Angels School continue its tradition of excellence. For 114 years Guardian Angels School has been instrumental in preparing children to be primed for a lifetime of learning and participation in the Catholic faith. In the past three years, your gifts to the Guardian Angels School Annual Fund have provided tools to meet and exceed the needs of our students in a constantly changing educational environment.

Because of you…

Students conduct experiments in a state-of-the-art science lab that complements a new inquiry-based science curriculum introduced this fall. Educators integrate technology at every grade level and subject with Smartboards in the majority of classrooms. Parishioners and students enjoy a quieter undercroft because of noise-reducing acoustic panels. Students have a safer lunch experience because of new tables. Faculty and staff develop and broaden knowledge of methods and practices for the delivery of instruction–over 2,000 hours of professional development in the past three years have been possible because of the GA School Annual Fund.

Your gifts to this year’s Annual Fund will go toward the school’s library/media center. Improvements have already begun, and with your participation, GA will continue with critical structural and technological improvements reinforcing the educational processes at every level. Efforts to expand and maintain technological tools as well as opportunities for professional development also need your continued assistance. The gap between the cost of educating each GA student compared to the tuition paid for that student continues to widen. That gap coupled with dwindling state auxiliary funds and increasing costs leaves no other source for the critical components and vital initiatives that differentiate GA from other schools. Guardian Angels School needs your support to continue providing these important components of our children’s education.
