Junior High students put together a morning newscast that includes the daily announcements. Every 7th grade student is trained to participate in the broadcast while it is an 8th grader’s responsibility to write the script. The broadcast includes two anchors, a camera operator, teleprompter operator, and a director. The news set was upgraded in 2012. Teachers Margaret Dorson-King, Stuart Lambing, and Librarian Holly Leach oversee the production but the broadcast is completely run by students. Students gather information about events at Guardian Angels, lunch details, birthdays, and other news. A guest may also occasionally be interviewed on set.
