A long-time member of the parish, I have enjoyed substitute teaching at GA for the past several years, and I am happy to serve in the role of math specialist for the 18-19 school year! Students work with me daily in the exact same room where I first started school at Guardian Angels. In my heart, it’s still the classroom of the legendary -- and beloved-- Sr. Mary Dolores.
I went to St. Xavier High School, and I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I worked in a research lab at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a number of years before going back to school: I then attained a Master’s in Education from UC. In my first year of teaching, I was as a volunteer science teacher on a portion of the Navajo reservation in New Mexico. I taught 8 years in Cincinnati Public middle schools (mostly science with some math and language arts “coaching”) followed by 2 years of high school science in West Clermont.
