Marketing & Communications Director
This position reports to the Business Manager and works in conjunction with the pastor, school principal, and various school and parish organizations as well as outside creative consultants and marketing agencies. S/he is a parish employee who works year-round.

This person directs marketing and communications efforts of the school and parish through internal and external communications, advertising, and other necessary public relations efforts. S/he also oversees other communications to ensure GA’s brand/mission is consistent across all tiers of platforms used to spread our message.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Responsible for creating, measuring, and implementing comprehensive communications and marketing plan to enhance Guardian Angels’ image and position in the community.
-Responsible for managing the marketing budget.
-Consult appropriate committees on the design and information of direct marketing/communications campaigns including but not limited to: school enrollment, open house, parish news, and events.
-Gather information, write articles, and organize pieces for the weekly school newsletter. The Wednesday Herald is distributed electronically each Wednesday after being approved by the school principal and/or assistant principal.
-Gather information, write articles, and organize pieces for the monthly parish newsletter. The newsletter is distributed electronically the first weekend of each month after being approved by the pastor and/or business manager.
-Keep the school and parish website up-to-date on all necessary information. Analytics from each site should be analyzed on a regular basis so summaries can be provided when requested.
-Maintain an active presence on GA’s social media pages which include Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
-Manage the database used for emails and surveys, Constant Contact, to validate current contacts and delete inactive accounts.
-Create, send and analyze annual surveys of segmented school families. These are typically designed and sent through Constant Contact. The same platform is available for parish surveys when necessary.
-This person is responsible for drafting and sending news releases.
-S/he also coordinates all advertising efforts for the parish and school.
-Other duties as determined by the pastor and/or business manager.

-Assist with fundraising efforts for the school and parish. Examples include, but are not limited to:

-Serve on the Education Board which meets monthly
